App: SnapFin – Locket-like Expense Tracking App

1. Introduction

SnapFin (“we”) is an offline-first personal finance app. We do not use ads, analytics, tracking SDKs, or any backend. All data stays on your device.

2. Information We Collect (on your device only)

• Transaction data: Amount, type (income/expense), category, source, date/time, notes.
• Photos: Images of receipts/bills you capture or pick from your gallery; thumbnails for faster display.
• Settings: Currency, custom categories/sources, onboarding status, display preferences, widget data.
• Technical minima: Local config and database version info for app stability. We do not collect your name, email, phone, bank account/card numbers, location, contacts, SMS, or call data.

3. How We Use the Information

• Provide and display your transaction history and related photos.
• Calculate summaries (by date, category, source).
• Remember your preferences and widget data. We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, or sale to third parties.

4. Storage and Security

• Local only: Data is stored in an on-device database and a private app folder for images.
• No upload: We do not transmit or sync your data to any server.
• Protected by the Android app sandbox; device-level encryption may also apply.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties. No ads, no analytics, no trackers.
